All,
I have uploaded an interesting paper about numerical modeling (Oreskes et al. 1994). Although it may be a bit outdated, it should still be valid for most (if not all) modeling applications. You may also consider the B2-TRF to be a modeling system, hence most of the ideas discussed in this paper is also applicable.
